I started the company 11 years ago with a handful of clients. When it came time to pick a company name I couldn’t think of anything original so I thought, “what if I leave the company name blank and just call it Some No-Name Company?” I was surprised to learn the name had not been taken already. So I shortened it to “Sononaco” as I jokingly said, “to sound legit.”
A lot of folks thought was cute. But as the company has grown it has become increasingly important to me that we have a name that not only can we be proud of but our clients can too. Plus, nobody can pronounce it. I have heard So-no-naco, Son o’naco and many other interesting takes.
As such, we’ve made the decision to give the company a new name. Though we are changing our name our commitment remains to delivering trusted, secure, hands-on hosting, enterprise email and web site applications. We will continue to operate with the transparency and honesty we have for the past 11 years. Our clients know there is no “secret sauce” – only the promise that we will deliver the finest internet services available.
Over the next few weeks we will be adding some exciting new services. We are also undertaking a thorough investigative audit into all of our service offerings to ensure we are delivering the most powerful infrastructure, adhering to strong security protocols and providing strategic solutions to best position you for success.
During the month of February we will be transitioning the bank accounts, the web site, e-mail, Teamwork and other services to the new name.
This has been an incredible 11-year journey. Now it’s time to refresh our brand to better reflect our business and reaffirm our vision: to be your one-stop-shop for comprehensive digital services and support. It has been an honor to serve you as Sononaco and we look forward to better serving you as Wave Motion Digital.
The name change will officially become effective February 19th, 2018.
